i want to take a show to the edinburgh fringe haaaallllp!!!

Have you always wanted to take your solo show to the Edinburgh Fringe but shut down because you thought, “I HAVE NO IDEA WTF I’M DOING - THIS IS TOO HARD?” Same. Nobody teaches us this stuff - Let me help you.

I’m Kelly - I’ve done the Edinburgh Fringe three years in a row (’23, ’24 & ’25). I self-produced my first two years - did it almost kill me? Yes. Was it worth it? For me, yup. Was it the biggest learning curve and the most exhausting emotional rollercoaster (but most FUN) life-changing experience I’ve ever had? Yes. I am mostly self-taught but after a few years of lots of learning, research, and trial and error, I can confidently say that I know what I’m doing 🎉

The Fringe is a massive investment financially, physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually etc. etc. I’ll give you the real, practical stuff I wish someone had told me the first time: what matters, what to skip, what will cost you money and what will save you time.

How does it work?

Based off of client feedback, it is best to do this in two sessions. This will prevent overwhelm in many ways. It is A LOT to get through. The first hour is for when you are thinking about applying or are in the process of applying and need to understand the landscape. We will talk about venues, budgeting, and finances. You will get an understanding of costs and where your show best fits and why. Then, once you get a slot or have decided that you are definitely going, we will move into a more detailed deep dive of the festival and how to work it: Housing, bomb PR, butts in seats, tips and tricks (this is the real tea).

If you already understand the first session subject matter, then let’s just go right to session 2. You can do both sessions or 1. Your call.

After each session, you get to keep the detailed step-by-step guide that we just went over. You’ll leave ready to make decisions with a plan you can actually execute.

Sessions cover:

  • Housing: where to look and how to book

  • Marketing and how to actually get eyes on your show (Posters, promo, marketing online, Marketing on the ground, fliering, pitching etc.)

  • Fundraising and how to do it (🤮)

  • PR: How to look for it, who to look into and a copy of my press release if you’re doing your own

  • Picking venues and understanding the venue landscape and where your show fits in

  • Budgeting: real costs, realistic income expectations, detailed breakdowns

  • Free Fringe vs. Curated

  • AND a bunch of Fringe hacks I learned along the way

What other artists ARE sayING:

“Chatting with Kelly gave me so much insight on the inner workings of the Edinburgh Fringe. Kelly is super knowledgeable about marketing and self-producing. I left the call feeling confident and excited. Highly recommend!” - Joel

“I always felt like bringing my solo show to Edinburgh was a goal to reach for but it seemed somewhat impossible to know where to start. Edinburgh is a huge fringe festival, so far away, and seemed unattainable. When Kelly offered counseling for how to navigate this goal, I had to take advantage. We sat on zoom and she walked me through her two successful runs at the Edinburgh Fringe, going through every detail.  Kelly’s insight into the Edinburgh Fringe helped me understand what was feasible for me.  Kelly shared detailed documents, organized by where to stay to pitch tactics. In an hour I knew how to plan a festival trip, how much it might cost and what kind of commitment it is. Kelly’s tips on the different venues and audiences help me hone in on how to approach the festival from a specific angle suited for my show.  After the meeting I felt more reassured that this goal could maybe be a reality.  Definitely feels more tangible than it ever before.  Thanks Kelly!” - Peter

“2 sessions with Kelly was like hitting a fast forward  button to understanding what it takes to launch a successful run at the Edinburgh Fringe! She shares her years of experience, not in broad strokes, but clearly defined specific tips and actions from everything to marketing, PR, and housing and how to get the most out of networking opportunities." - Jon
